Clairvoyance (from clair meaning “clear” + voyance meaning “vision”) is the ability to gain information about an object, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses…

If everyone knew how to develop it, more people would use it. That’s true, but centuries of unwarranted fears make many skittish or in fear of ridicule. Because of taking for granted what “everybody knows,” hardly anyone questions looking into the past while looking into the future feels strange. The thing is, study after study shows that looking back – remembering – is full of false memories, mixups and guesses.
Some believe that everyone knows how to develop their clairvoyant abilities, but most people do not think about it or may be uncomfortable with the process. Or, maybe, they just don’t see the benefit.
Through meditation and relaxation techniques, as well as many other exercises to stimulate one’s intuition, enlightening discoveries await…
There are many exercises to stimulate one’s clairvoyance. One method involves visualizing a third eye in between the two physical eyes to see through, increasing one’s awareness of their environment, for example.
Developing your ability can be used for entertainment or in gathering real insight. Clairaudience (clear hearing) is another form of clairvoyance that is often confused with telepathy.
Clairaudience (Clear Hearing)- You’re Not Crazy, It’s Real!
Clairaudience (from clair meaning “clear” + audient meaning “listening”) is the ability to gain information through auditory means – not necessary conventional hearing – as opposed to clairvoyance which is the gaining of information through means other than the known human senses.
Clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairvoyance are different types of psychic abilities. People who have clairvoyant moments may also refer to them as flashes or visions.
Some people do believe that everyone has the ability, but many simply choose not to use it. Clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairvoyance can be developed, and to do so one can practice, using their intuition and simple methods…
Meditation for Clairvoyance and Clairaudience
Meditation is a great way to find peace, relaxation and other positive effects. You can use your clairvoyance to its full potential through meditation. It allows you to still your mind and let go of all thoughts. Relaxation helps release any tension that is built up in your body over time and raises your vibration level. This will allow you to open up and feel more receptive to subtle energies around you, allowing them to flow.
Clairvoyance Meditation for Beginners
Sit in a comfortable position, either cross-legged on the floor or somewhere else where you are at ease, close your eyes and try to let go of all thoughts running through your mind. Keep clearing your mind of everything, don’t worry if it’s hard, just keep practicing clearing your thoughts. This meditation is good for beginners.
A more advanced clairvoyance meditation technique to open up the Third Eye Chakra (clairvoyant chakra), which can be used in combination with deep breathing when starting, is chanting a mantra while meditating. Repeat the mantra over and over in your head or under your breath while meditating. You can pick your own mantra, but make sure it has meaning to you. A good mantra is “I Am” or “Om”.
When starting out, try setting an alarm clock for 15 minutes and just continue practicing clearing your thoughts. This will help get you into the habit of meditating every day which is the best way to get used to the relaxed state of mind.
Visualization for Clairaudience
Visualization can also help with clairvoyance and clairaudience. Visualize yourself actually hearing the sounds you want to hear, such as a person’s voice or even certain words. Picture all of your senses working together in perfect harmony and
Visualization is a good way to practice seeing things before they happen. [In this case, it would be seeing images in one’s mind.]
A person who wants to develop his or her clairvoyant abilities should practice visualization daily.
Psychic Development Exercises for Clairvoyance and Clairaudience
Exercise Number One: Psychic Development Questionnaire
Get a piece of paper and make two columns on it, one for yes and the other for no. Under each column write down as many questions as you can think of that would determine whether or not someone is psychic.
As an example:
- Do you often get strong feelings about something and later it actually happens?
- Do you ever know what’s going to happen before it does?
- Have you ever had a dream that later came true?
- Are you often thinking about someone only to have them call or show up shortly after without having contacted them?
- Are you often correct about things, at least most of the time?
- Do you feel an energy field around your body that vibrates when someone is thinking about you or near you?
These questions can get a person started on developing his or her own list. A psychic development questionnaire should contain questions that don’t have obvious answers.
Exercise Number Two: Reading Energy
An example of an energy exercise is to sit in a comfortable position and tap your fingertips together or rub them without letting your hands touch. While doing this, focus on the space between the tapping fingers or rubbing palms. Imagine you are gathering up white light from the universe and bringing it down through your crown chakra (top of the head) and into your forehead.
Imagine this white light flowing down through your third eye chakra (the middle of the forehead, or 6 inches above it), then through your throat chakra (just under the Adam’s apple), solar plexus chakra (right below the sternum), sacral chakra (about 2 inches below the belly button), and root chakra (base of the spine). Imagine this white light moving throughout your entire body, cleansing you.
After doing this for a few minutes, take deep breaths and focus on exhaling negative energy from your whole body while imagining all of the negative energy getting sucked out through your feet into the Earth, which will transform it back into positive energy.
After doing this for a few minutes, lie on your back and relax with arms at your sides about 4-6 inches away from the body and palms facing up. Focus on breathing deeply and easily until you fall asleep or pass out (which can happen!).
This type of meditation is also a good way to try an astral projection if a person is successful.
Exercise Number Three: Clairvoyant Projection
Relax in a quiet room with dim or no lights, wear loose clothing, and lie down on your back with your hands at your sides about 4-6 inches from the body and palms facing up. Relax and think of a peaceful, beautiful place you’ve been to in your life. Imagine yourself there and what it looks like.
Now imagine separating from your physical self and getting lighter and lighter until you’re not even attached anymore. Then imagine this “astral” (non-physical) self venturing off into the universe by itself and traveling to any place you’d like.
Now imagine this astral self getting sucked back into your physical body and feeling the weight of your limbs again as you open your eyes and return to reality.
The above can be done without having to go into a trance-like state, but the more practice one has with this exercise, the easier it will be to enter a trance-like state.
Exercise Number Four: Clairaudience
In this exercise, a person trying to develop clairaudience should pick out several objects that make no noise when hit or dropped and sit down in a quiet room with these objects placed on the floor about 18 inches from him or her.
The person should then sit with legs crossed in front of the objects with his or her eyes closed and focus on clearing the mind.
After taking several deep, cleansing breaths, slowly pick up one object at a time while trying not to think about how it will sound when dropped. Then close your eyes and listen carefully for any noise the object makes when it hits the ground.
If you do this for a while and find that you can’t hear any sounds, try doing this same exercise while keeping your eyes open.
Exercise Number Five: More Clairaudience
For this clairaudience exercise, pick out several objects in various sizes, shapes, colors, and weights and place them in a line about 18 inches away from you. The objects should be placed close enough together so that they touch each other or can be connected with string, yarn, or thread.
Pick up one of the objects and place it behind your back while keeping your eyes closed and clearing your mind. Then slowly bring the object in front of your body and hold it in between both hands for about two minutes while trying not to think too hard about the object.
Now close your eyes and try to see in your mind’s eye what the object is without actually looking at it. If you can’t figure out which object you held, place all of them on the ground or on a table and try again with one that’s different from the previous ones.
This process can then be repeated, but this time pick two or three objects at a time and then try to identify each of them as you hold them in your hands without opening your eyes.
Exercise Number Six: Astral Projection
There are many ways in which a person can astral project, and one relatively easy way is to lie down in a quiet room with dim or no lights and relax.
After taking several deep breaths, imagine your soul leaving your body and going into the universe. Imagine yourself traveling at warp speed past stars and galaxies until you come to your favorite place on earth.
This could be a beautiful beach or mountain that you’ve been to before or just a place that exists in your mind’s eye only, such as an island paradise that has crystal clear waterfalls and blue skies for days.
Once you arrive at your destination, imagine how it looks and feels and try to feel the warm sand and gentle breeze on your skin.
Imagine yourself lying down and covering your body in the warm sunshine while you relax and take in all of the sights, sounds, smells, and tactile sensations that make up this special place.
Then imagine yourself slowly returning to planet earth and re-entering your physical body with a feeling of total relaxation before opening your eyes and getting up.
Once you master the art of astral projection, you can explore this universe and travel to other planes of existence as well as various astral dimensions. The possibilities are endless and depend entirely on how much time and effort you put into practicing these exercises. Remember that it takes consistent practice for around twenty minutes or more three times per week for several weeks to see any real results.
A Final Note on Developing Clairvoyance Skills
It’s important to remember that clairvoyance is not just about seeing images in your mind, but about seeing these images behind closed eyes while keeping the rest of your senses open. It’s also important to stay positive and never give up on yourself as you undergo this process.
If your clairvoyant skills seem to be developing slowly, don’t worry about it and keep practicing because everyone learns at a different pace. The important thing is that you keep showing up every day and doing the exercises over and over again – even if you’re not seeing any results – until your clairvoyant skills become second nature.
