Did you know there are plans for a monument honoring Nellie Bly on Roosevelt Island near the spot where the asylum once stood? Coming this summer!When I did research for the book in NYC a few years ago, I visited the island (which was Blackwell’s Island in Nellie’s Day). I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a single sign to honor her or what she did there. Now there will be. 💕📚
